Technical Diving Course in Lanzarote
Take the step into technical diving and develop the skills you need to undertake more demanding dives with precision, planning, and safety.
Master the Fundamentals of Technical Diving
Technical diving requires a higher level of precision, control and planning than recreational diving. During your training, you’ll refine your position and control underwater, develop your ability to work effectively as part of a team and learn how to manage your equipment and procedures in a structured and reliable way.
Perfect Your Trim and Buoyancy
Learn to maintain a stable and precise position underwater. Improve your buoyancy control and practise different finning techniques to move efficiently and in complete control.
Dive as Part of a Team
Teamwork is an essential part of technical diving. You’ll develop effective communication, team awareness and coordinated procedures that allow the entire team to work together throughout the dive.
Optimise Your Equipment Configuration
Learn about the equipment configurations commonly used in technical diving and understand how they are organised. This includes the long-hose system with a backup regulator as well as the structured and safe management of your complete diving system.
A Progressive Approach to Technical Diving
The training is divided into two levels, allowing you to progress from the fundamental skills of technical diving to decompression procedures and advanced gas management. Tec Fundamental provides the foundation for progressing to Tec Advanced, with progression based on your experience, skills and individual level of preparation.

Tec Fundamental – Technical Foundations
Your technical diving training begins by refining your trim, buoyancy and different finning techniques. You’ll also develop team awareness, communication and the fundamental procedures required for effective team diving.
You’ll become familiar with different technical equipment configurations and practise the essential skills and procedures that provide the foundation for your future technical diving training.

Equipment Configuration and Technical Procedures
You’ll learn how to work with specific technical diving configurations, including the long-hose system and backup regulator. Particular attention is given to clean and efficient equipment configuration and the precise, controlled execution of procedures underwater.

Tec Advanced – Decompression and Gas Management
After completing Tec Fundamental and gaining the necessary diving experience, Tec Advanced takes you into the planning and execution of decompression dives.
You’ll develop your knowledge of decompression planning, ascent profiles, gas switches and the use of decompression cylinders. The course also covers important concepts such as MOD, CNS, OTU and END and how they affect the planning and execution of technical dives.

Problem Solving and Emergency Management
You’ll train for critical situations such as the loss of bottom gas or decompression gases, out-of-gas situations and other problems that require a fast and coordinated response from the team.
The training also covers gas planning, decompression calculations, teamwork and the structured management of technical diving incidents.
Why Choose Aquanautic for Your Technical Diving Training?
Technical diving requires precision, discipline and, above all, practical training that turns theoretical knowledge into reliable procedures underwater.
At Aquanautic, you can progress step by step from the foundations of Tec Fundamental through to advanced decompression procedures and gas management. Our experienced instructors will help you develop the skills and discipline required for technical diving. Lanzarote also offers a variety of dive sites and conditions where you can put your skills into practice and continue developing as a technical diver.
Requirements for Technical Diving Training
Before progressing to advanced technical training, you must demonstrate the necessary experience and the ability to perform the required skills and procedures to the appropriate standard.
The Next Step: Normoxic Trimix OC
If you already have technical diving experience and want to continue your progression, the I.A.C. TEC Normoxic Trimix OC course is the next step.
The course prepares you to safely plan and conduct dives using normoxic trimix mixtures. During the training, you’ll develop your knowledge of complex decompression planning, multiple-gas management and the use of two or three decompression cylinders.
Another important part of the training is dealing with complex problem scenarios and maintaining standardised procedures even under demanding conditions.
The certification is designed for experienced technical divers who want to expand their knowledge and develop the skills required to conduct dives to depths of up to 60 metres using trimix as a bottom gas.
Using trimix helps reduce the effects of nitrogen narcosis at greater depths and provides greater control during demanding technical dives.
The course combines comprehensive theory with intensive practical training. Particular emphasis is placed on precise dive planning, gas management, decision-making, teamwork and the reliable execution of procedures under realistic diving conditions.
Take Your Diving to a Technical Level
Technical diving opens up new possibilities for experienced divers who want to deepen their knowledge, perfect their skills and safely plan and conduct more demanding dives.
If you already have diving experience and would like to find out which level of technical training is right for you, get in touch with us. We’ll be happy to advise you on the requirements, training options and the next step in your development as a technical diver.
