Dive Sites in Puerto del Carmen
La Catedral

Shore Dive
La Catedral is one of Lanzarote’s most iconic dive sites. Its volcanic formations create a large underwater cavern whose shape resembles the interior of a cathedral.
Light filtering through the surrounding rock creates a unique atmosphere. Schools of fish, large groupers, moray eels and many other species typical of Lanzarote are regularly seen around the site.
El Agujero Azul – Blue Hole

Shore Dive
Blue Hole is one of Lanzarote’s best-known dive sites. Its most distinctive feature is a large opening in the volcanic rock that divers can pass through, connecting different areas of the reef.
The volcanic formations and typically excellent visibility make this a fascinating site to explore, with plenty of marine life to discover along the way.
El Coral Naranja – Orange Coral

Shore Dive
This dive site is best known for the colonies of orange coral growing along sections of the underwater wall, creating a striking contrast against the dark volcanic rock.
In addition to the coral, you can discover numerous species of fish, crustaceans and smaller marine life. It’s a particularly interesting dive for underwater photographers and divers who enjoy taking their time to look for the smaller inhabitants of Lanzarote’s waters.
Puerto del Carmen Wrecks

Boat Dive
The wrecks of Puerto del Carmen are among Lanzarote’s best-known wreck diving sites. Several wrecks can be explored during the dive, and over the years they have developed into artificial reefs full of marine life.
The old ship structures provide shelter for a wide variety of species, and schools of fish, moray eels, octopuses and rays are regularly seen around the wrecks.
The combination of wrecks, marine life and different depths makes this an interesting site for both less experienced and advanced divers.
Waikiki

Boat Dive
Waikiki is a varied dive site combining volcanic sand, rocky formations and small walls. Schools of fish, moray eels, octopuses, cuttlefish, trumpetfish and many other species typical of the Canary Islands can regularly be found here.
There are plenty of areas to explore and excellent opportunities for underwater photography. Depending on the conditions and dive profile, Waikiki can be enjoyed by both recently certified and more experienced divers.
Richies Place

Boat dive
Ritchie’s Place combines an interesting volcanic landscape with a great variety of marine life. Rocks, small walls and sandy areas create habitats for numerous species.
Moray eels, octopuses, cuttlefish, schools of fish, scorpionfish and nudibranchs are regularly seen here, while rays can sometimes be found resting on the sandy bottom.
It’s a great site for divers who enjoy taking their time to observe marine life or explore with an underwater camera.
Cueva de las Gambas

Shore Dive
Cueva de las Gambas is one of Lanzarote’s most distinctive deep dive sites. At depth, you’ll reach a volcanic cave where the walls and ceiling are covered by countless small red shrimp.
Illuminated by your dive light, the contrast between the dark volcanic rock and the red shrimp creates an impressive sight.
During the descent and on the way back, it’s also common to encounter large groupers, schools of fish, moray eels, barracudas and other species found around Lanzarote’s deeper dive sites.
Due to the depth, this dive is only suitable for divers with a Deep Diver certification or equivalent qualification.

Dive Sites in Playa Blanca
Las Coloradas

Boat Dive
Las Coloradas offers a varied volcanic underwater landscape with rocky formations, small walls and sandy areas. These different structures provide shelter for a wide range of marine life and make for an interesting and enjoyable dive.
Depending on the conditions, you may encounter schools of fish, moray eels, octopuses, trumpetfish, barracudas, rays and many other species commonly found around Lanzarote.
Typically good visibility and varied topography make Las Coloradas an excellent choice for a relaxed exploration dive.
Punta Berrugo

Boat Dive
Punta Berrugo combines impressive volcanic formations with a diverse range of marine life. The dive takes you along walls, large volcanic rocks and sandy areas that provide shelter for numerous species.
Schools of fish, moray eels, octopuses, trumpetfish, parrotfish, barracudas and occasionally rays can all be encountered here.
Its varied topography and typically excellent visibility make Punta Berrugo an enjoyable site with plenty to explore and excellent opportunities for underwater photography.
Playa Flamingo

Up to 16 m
Shore Dive
Playa Flamingo is a relaxed dive site with plenty of marine life. Its easy shore entry and usually calm conditions make it a good choice for divers with different levels of experience.
Underwater, sandy areas alternate with rocky sections and small reef structures. Schools of fish, moray eels, octopuses, cuttlefish, trumpetfish, lizardfish, rays and a variety of invertebrates are regularly seen here.
The relatively shallow depth gives you plenty of time to relax and explore the marine life.
