What to Expect on Your Try Dive

Welcome and Preparation

We’ll start by getting to know each other and preparing your diving equipment. We take our time so that you feel comfortable and relaxed from the very beginning.

Learn the Basics

Before entering the water, you’ll receive a clear and easy-to-understand introduction. We’ll explain how your equipment works, how to breathe through the regulator, how to equalise your ears and how to use the most important underwater hand signals.

Let’s Get in the Water

We’ll begin in shallow water, where you can get used to the equipment and experience breathing underwater for the first time. Your instructor will guide you through a few simple exercises and give you all the time you need to feel comfortable. Once you’re ready, your first real dive can begin.

Explore the Underwater World

Now for the best part. Together with your instructor, you’ll descend and discover Lanzarote’s fascinating underwater world, with its marine life, volcanic rock formations and typically crystal-clear water.

Why Try Scuba Diving in Lanzarote?

Lanzarote offers excellent conditions for learning to dive. Clear water, comfortable water temperatures and a diverse marine environment make the island a fantastic place to experience scuba diving for the first time.

We conduct our Try Dives at Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen. Its sheltered waters and easy entry make it ideal for beginners, while the variety of marine life means there is plenty to discover even at shallow depths.
