What’s Included in the Dive Leader Course
Dive Leader training combines comprehensive theoretical knowledge with demanding practical training. The focus is on planning and conducting dives, assessing diving conditions and safely leading groups of divers.
Dive Planning and Management
Learn how to prepare dives in a structured way, taking into account the planned route, gas consumption, depth, environmental conditions and the experience of individual group members. An important part of the training is learning to anticipate potential problems before entering the water and planning accordingly.
Leading Groups of Divers
Develop the skills required to safely lead groups of divers with different levels of experience. You’ll learn how to conduct briefings, establish procedures, organise the dive and maintain an overview of the entire group throughout the dive.
Safety, Rescue and First Aid
Develop your knowledge and practical skills in diving safety and rescue while learning how to respond appropriately to different incidents and emergency situations. The training also includes first aid knowledge and the appropriate response to diving-related emergencies.
Practical Dive Leader Training
Put your leadership and dive-management skills into practice during a variety of exercises and dives. Training includes navigation, deployment of a surface marker buoy, group control, emergency procedures and leading dives in different conditions.
